Welcome to Highborder Lodge

Highborder Lodge GroundsGetting older and living alone in your own home can be difficult, which is why we make sure all the residents here at Highborder Lodge have the best of everything to make sure it is a true home from home.

Highborder Lodge is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection and is approved by Gloucestershire County Council Social Services Department and therefore complies with the statutory requirements for homes offering care for the elderly.  It has excellent facilities for long/short stay and day care residents.  We welcome both private and DSS residents.

Highborder LodgeSet in the heart of the Cotswolds, Highborder Lodge is a private Residential Home for 42 elderly people on the outskirts Leonard Stanley, a short distance away from both the M5 junction 13 and from Stroud, Gloucestershire. The Building is early Victorian and has been extended to very high standards where rooms and facilities have been sensitively adapted or purpose built for the convenience of residents. There are 38 single and two double rooms, all have en-suite facilities. Two shaft lifts are available for resident’s convenience.  The home is also equipped with bath hoists and lifting aids for the more frail Residents.

Highborder Lodge LoungeThroughout the Home there are communal rooms, small lounges, and niches created where residents can have added privacy.  Due to its location, most rooms offer extensive views of the countryside around Leonard Stanley and there are well-maintained grounds where residents can walk and relax in safety.  There are local shops, a village hall, Church, regular buses and Taxi Service.

Our aim is to foster an atmosphere of care and support, which both enables and encourages our residents to live as full, interesting and independent a lifestyle as possible with rules and regulations being kept to a minimum.

There are no rules regarding visiting, family and friends can be assured of a warm welcome at all times.
