Neil is supported by two Senior Care Co-Ordinators, Denise Fernandez, promoted from the post of Senior Care Assistant.   Denise has been employed at Highborder Lodge for over nine years; she has achieved NVQ3 and undertaken both short and distance learning courses relevant to her post.  We also welcomed Trudy Brinkworth as Senior Care Co-Ordinator; she has many years of experience in the Health Care Sector and is currently undertaking NVQ3.

Within Highborder Lodge, the training and development of staff takes a very high priority and many opportunities are made available to colleagues to increase their knowledge and develop their skills.  Over 50% of our care staff have NVQ2 and/or above. Management feel that we have a very good core team of care staff and with encouragement and support, they will all achieve their ambitions. Neil Ward is our Training and arranges courses and mandatory training for all of our staff.
