Private telephone lines are available if required.  We have two dining rooms, one large dining room which overlooks the garden and a further smaller one for those who prefer to be in a quieter area.  The public rooms, which include a large conservatory overlooking the garden, are tastefully furnished to a high standard including ample comfortable chairs, colour television, dvd player, stereo and of course an emergency call system.

We have regular visits by a qualified chiropodist and are lucky enough to have two hairdressers who both visit weekly. Our local vicar visits weekly for Holy Communion but every effort is made to address the requirements for all religious beliefs.

Gloucestershire Mobile Lending Library visit regularly and residents are encouraged to put in their requests for books relating to their particular interests.
Daily newspapers can be delivered from our local newsagent

Activities

We pride ourselves on being able to offer a varied programme of activities for our residents.   Our Activities Co-ordinator has undertaken extensive training in providing stimulating activities designed specifically around the needs of the elderly. Each of our residents is asked about their hobbies and interests and every effort is put into including these into our programme.    We have the services of two volunteers who come in weekly to interact with residents either on a one-to-one basis, e.g. helping with letter writing, crosswords etc. or group activities such as bingo, craft work etc.  We have a minibus to use for trips out for coffee/lunch etc.

Meals

From experience we understand that our residents look forward to meeting with other residents and mealtimes are the main focus of their day.    We have two experienced cooks who have received mandatory training in food hygiene etc. and provide meals to suit all dietary needs. Every effort is made to satisfy all tastes and we take note of the likes and dislikes, plus any religious beliefs which residents may have.
