Residents activities

Activities and hobbies are in abundance at Highborder lodge, every ones needs supported including dementia friendly, everyone is welcome to join in or look on while having refreshments. There`s sure to be something that is of interest to you whether on a one to one or group setting. Maybe you like to sit and chat, and share memories while looking at photographs of family, places you`ve been, or even the career you`ve taken.

Activity co-ordinator and additional team are there to support the enjoyment of your interests and hobbies. If there`s something you like to do please share it with us, then if we can we`ll make it possible, or find someone who can.

We have our own minibus and days trips out to the garden centre, seaside, pub lunch, Forest Green Rovers football ground, boat/train trips, coffee morning at the local church, A drive in the countryside, ice-cream on the common, shopping trips, zoo, local musical events and lots more!

We offer a wide range of choices from a breath of fresh air out in the garden, a village walk with a carer to visit the local church, stop by the farm where there are always a variety of animals, or just to admire the beauty of the countryside.

Of course we must remember not to feed him too much as it`s not good for his waist line. Murphy can visit residents in the privacy of their room or communal areas. If you are not fond of dogs maybe a visit from Ghost the owl or some donkey therapy may suit you better.
